Dear Mustang Families,

We are thrilled to share some exciting news from Aquilla J. Morgan High School! For our first quarter of the school year, 323 students have earned recognition for their academic excellence by qualifying for Honor Roll, High Honor Roll, or Principal’s Honor Roll. This means that these students earned all A's and B's in both academics and conduct. We are incredibly proud of their commitment to education and will be celebrating their achievements next week. Please join us in congratulating these outstanding Mustangs!

While we celebrate this success, we also want to address a concern that has recently come to our attention. We’ve seen an increase in incidents involving students disrespecting school property. As a community, we take great pride in our beautiful new building, and it is our shared responsibility to ensure it remains a space we can all be proud of.

We kindly ask that you speak with your child about the importance of treating all parts of our school with respect. Our goal is to leave this building better than we found it—for current and future Mustangs. Please note that students found damaging school property will face consequences, as this behavior will not be tolerated.

We’re excited to announce that Boys and Girls Track Conditioning kicks off tomorrow—Monday, November 3rd at 3:00 PM! All interested athletes should meet at the stadium to begin training.

Parents and guardians can now report student absences online at any time using our convenient Absence Reporting Form.

Please note the following guidelines:

Absences reported after 7:00 AM on the day of the absence may not update records before the start of school. However, all absences will still generate an automated notification.

Absences must be reported within 48 hours of the missed school day to be reflected in attendance records.

Submitting the form does not guarantee the absence will be excused. Families may use the form for up to 6 excused absences per school year. After that, a doctor’s or professional note is required.

Supporting documentation (e.g., doctor’s note, funeral program, court request, military forms) must be uploaded to the Focus Parent App or delivered directly to the school.

When completing the form, please include your child’s full name and student ID to ensure accurate processing.
