Daily attendance matters!
At Bloomingdale Senior High School, we believe that consistent attendance is key to student success. Every day in class is an opportunity to learn, grow, and stay on track. When students are present, they’re more likely to achieve academic goals, build strong relationships, and prepare for future opportunities. Let’s work together to ensure our students show up, every day, ready to succeed!
Student Restroom Access at BSHS
We want to address a recent perception that only one student restroom is open daily at BSHS. We want to assure our families and community that this has not been the case. Multiple restrooms are available for student use every day across campus.
Should there ever be a serious concern regarding restroom availability, we will promptly notify our families, so you are aware. We appreciate your continued partnership and encourage anyone with questions or concerns to contact the school directly at 813-744-8018.
Thank you for your support!
This year, schedules will be available for view on August 6th via the FOCUS parent portal. FOCUS has replaced Synergy which is no longer active. Please ensure that you have activated your account as we will not have paper version of schedules for open house.
If you have a Synergy ParentVUE account, you will need to reset your password and can follow the Transitioning a Synergy PVUE Account guide for directions. Otherwise, the Creating a New Parent Portal Account guide can assist you with creating your new account. If you have questions or concerns about creating your Focus Parent Portal account, please contact the HCPS Customer Service Help Desk at (813) 744-6673.
Congratulations to the Bloomingdale Bulls for winning the 2024-25 Vernon Korhn Award as the Athletic Program of the Year for HCPS!

AI Update
The BSHS AI policy is above. Students must have teacher approval prior to using AI for educational purposes. The AI engines below are approved for HCPS use.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We wanted to share a quick update regarding House Bill 1105: this new law eliminates the “certificate of completion” option that was previously available for students who earned credits but had not yet met all state assessment or GPA requirements.
Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, only students who meet all Florida graduation requirements will be awarded a standard high school diploma—and only those students will be eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony.
If you have any questions about your student’s progress or need support with meeting outstanding requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact our school counseling team. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
Thank you,

This year, we will be offering Homework Help for the students who need a place after school to get things done. Additionally, we will have computers available for them to work on projects.
We will not be able to participate in the drop-off/pick-up line. Parents can pick up their children after the pickup line is closed by parking in a parking spot and having their child come out to them, or they can come and collect their child. Additionally, students should park on school grounds and not in the library’s parking lot.
