A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL & ASST PRINCIPAL |
Dear Pride Families,
It was another busy and exciting week at Pride Elementary! Our Lions enjoyed many memorable learning experiences, including field trips to Busch Gardens for our 3rd graders, the Tampa Zoo for our 2nd graders, and Diamond Dell for our 4th Graders. On Wednesday evening, Pride hosted its 3rd Annual Spelling Bee, where 35 students from first through fifth grade showcased their impressive spelling and vocabulary skills. Congratulations to 4th grader Arjun Paladugu from Mrs. Berger’s class for earning first place- well done!
Thursday marked the 100th day of school, and we celebrated being 100 days kinder, smarter, stronger, and more confident learners. That evening, we were proud to celebrate our very own Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Berger, at the Hillsborough’s Treasures–themed 2026 Excellence in Education Awards- what an honor! We wrapped up the week on Friday with the 101st day of school, and we spotted Dalmatians all over first grade. As cooler weather moves in this week, please be sure students arrive bundled up, on time, and ready to learn. It's Literacy Week- see below for all of the themed days! Let’s make it another great week at Pride- go Lions! 🦁 Yo-ho-ho and onward we go! Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Moncrief |
PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SURVEY NOW! |
Dear Pride Families, The District has extended the deadline for the Panorama Survey.
As of Friday, only 16% of our families have completed the survey—that’s just 146 responses out of our 886 students! We would love to have at least a 50% response rate. Your feedback is critical to ensuring Pride remains the premier school in our area. Please take a few minutes to share your voice today and complete the survey before February 1st. Together, we can keep Pride at the top!
You may complete the survey using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website http://surveys.panoramaed.com/hcps/fam3441
We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the survey, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or our survey coordinator, Mrs. Dodds, at Laura.DoddsGromkov@hcps.net. Thank you, Kirsten Meyer Pride Elementary School |

But we still need your help! There is still time to join the excitement by signing up online to become a lifesaver. http://www2.heart.org/goto/prideelementary or download the AHA Schools app.
⭐ Remember, the teacher in each grade level with the most fundraising dollars will receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card! ⭐ Plus, the class with the most completed Finn's Mission will receive a $100 U.S. Games Certificate!
⭐I’ve set a Principal’s Challenge: if 500 students donate, Pride will earn $500 in PE equipment! Join us in making a difference and become a lifesaver. Help our school while supporting kids everywhere with special hearts! Donations are due by January 30th. Let’s do this, Pride family! 🦁❤️ |

We need volunteers to help in the cafeteria during lunch on a daily basis between 10:00 and 1:30. Ideally, we would like to have recurring volunteers, but any time you can help would be greatly appreciated! The role involves monitoring student behavior, assisting students with opening food items, escorting students to the bathroom or health clinic, helping with spills, etc...
