Hello Pride Families!
It was a Roaring Week at Pride Elementary! What a fantastic week we’ve had together!
We kicked things off by celebrating National School Lunch Week with a delicious journey around the globe—our cafeteria was filled with the aromas and flavors of international dishes, and our Lions loved every bite!
Thursday night was a shining example of the power of partnership. Our Parent Conference Night was a huge success, filled with meaningful conversations and collaboration. Thank you to all the families and staff who made it such a positive experience!
On Friday, our halls were filled with bright smiles and snazzy outfits for Picture Day—our Lions truly shined! Students should have brought home a paper with their name and a QR code for families to view and order their pictures online. Be sure to check those backpacks!
And let’s not forget the friendly competition among our amazing staff! The Rock, Paper, Scissors Challenge brought out the fun and laughter, with everyone trying to collect the most beads. Congratulations to Mrs. Garlinghouse, our reigning champion!
Get ready to dive into a world of stories and imagination! The Scholastic Book Fair is here from October 20–28. It’s a great time to stock up on books your Lions will love. Bonus Fun: The Book Fair will also be open during Trunk or Treat on October 24 from 5:30–7:00 PM—so stop by in costume, grab a treat, and pick out a new favorite read!
Safety First: Arrival & Dismissal Reminders
To keep our carline safe and smooth:
Do not pull around other cars unless directed by staff.
Slow down—nothing is more important than the safety of our children.
Walk bikes/scooters once on school property.
Wear a helmet—it’s the law!
Bikers/Scooters-watch your speed and be mindful of pedestrians.
Cars-have your window down and QR tag ready before reaching the staff member in carline.

We need volunteers to help in the cafeteria during lunch on a daily basis between 10:00 and 1:30. Ideally, we would like to have recurring volunteers, but any time you can help would be greatly appreciated! The role involves monitoring student behavior, assisting students with opening food items, escorting students to the bathroom or health clinic, helping with spills, etc...
