A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL & ASST PRINCIPAL

.

Dear Pride Families,
As we head into a new week, we have a few important reminders and a message of gratitude to share.

First, please note that Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 17–18), Basset Creek Drive will be reduced to one lane due to nearby construction. All vehicles exiting Pride Elementary must turn right out of the parking lot. For detailed directions back to Kinnan Street, please refer to the map included in this newsletter.

Important Safety Reminder: There is no student drop-off in the roadway at any point on Basset Creek Drive. This is extremely dangerous. Parents may drive to the ballfield, park, and walk their child across, or join the carline for drop-off. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.

We also want to gently remind everyone that smoking is prohibited on school property and within 1,000 feet of campus, including the carline. Please refrain from smoking while waiting in the carline, even with windows rolled up. Your cooperation helps protect the health and safety of our children, and we truly appreciate your support.

Finally, as Thanksgiving approaches, Mrs. Moncrief and I want to share how thankful we are for this incredible community. Our faculty and staff amaze us daily with their dedication and hard work. Our students inspire us with their curiosity and kindness. And our families- your support and partnership make all the difference. We are honored to work alongside you and wish you a joyful, restful holiday filled with gratitude and time with loved ones.

Yo-ho-ho and onward we go!

Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Moncrief

UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION

Dear Pride Families,

We want to inform you about a temporary traffic change happening this week due to construction near our campus.

On Monday and Tuesday, November 17th and 18th, the construction company working on the adjacent recreation center will be digging a 13-foot hole near Basset Creek Drive. To ensure safety and maintain a secure walkway for students walking and biking to school, Basset Creek Drive will be reduced to one lane during this time.

As a result, all vehicles exiting Pride Elementary will be required to turn right out of the parking lot. To navigate around the closure and get back to Kinnan Street, please follow the route shown below.

PLEASE NOTE:

-Vehicles entering Pride Elementary will still enter the same way

-Only school buses, patrols, and ambassadors arriving before 6:55 AM will           be permitted to turn left into the parking lot.

-Staging in the ballfield area will still be available before 7:05 AM, as usual.

-We kindly ask that you do not park in the roadway for staging, as traffic               will be limited to one lane.

-Tardies will be excused during these two days due to anticipated                  delays.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic during this brief construction period.

Warm regards,

Kirsten Meyer

Principal, Pride Elementary
