Hello Pride Families!
Dear Families,
We had such a joyful week on campus! Our Pride Prowl was a hit—students looked amazing dressed as their favorite book characters, and the creativity was off the charts! The school was truly transformed into a celebration of stories and imagination. A special shoutout to Mrs. Moncrief, our fabulous front office team, and myself—we had a blast dressing up as Heroes vs. Villains!
On Tuesday, we honored our Terrific Lions for October, celebrating students who were selected for showing the Mindset of “Passion First.” Their enthusiasm and dedication are a shining example of what it means to love learning and lead with heart.
As we look ahead, please remember to RSVP if you or a loved one is a Veteran planning to attend our Veterans Day Celebration on November 10th. We’re excited to honor those who have served.
A few important arrival reminders: Per district policy, students must be in their classrooms by 7:40 AM to be considered present—not just arriving on campus or exiting vehicles. While we understand traffic can be heavy, we ask for your help in keeping arrival safe and smooth.
•Please do not drop students off in the street at the K Bar entrance or on Lion’s Den Drive.
•Students should be ready to hop out of the car quickly—shoes on, backpack, lunchbox, and water bottle in hand.
•After 7:35 AM, the pedestrian gate by the crosswalk may be closed so staff can head to class. Students can still enter through the Main Office and are not tardy until 7:40 AM
Also, don’t forget: This week is the deadline to sign up for both the Great American Teach-In and the Spelling Bee.
We’re collecting extra Halloween candy for our Student Ambassadors and soft plastics for our Green Team—two great ways to support our school and community!
Happy November! As we step into this season of gratitude, we’re thankful for our amazing students, supportive families, and dedicated staff. Let’s make it a month full of learning, kindness, and connection.
Yo-ho-ho and onward we go!
