A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL & ASST PRINCIPAL

.

Hello Pride Families!

As we move into the month of November, we are excited to begin our new mindset focus: "We Are Connected." Over the next few weeks leading up to Thanksgiving Break, we’ll be emphasizing the importance of Maximizing Positive Relationships—building strong, supportive connections within our school community.

This season of gratitude is the perfect time to reflect on how thankful we are for our dedicated faculty and staff, our wonderful students, and our supportive families. Your partnership makes Pride Elementary a truly special place to learn and grow.

We’re also looking forward to honoring our nation’s heroes at our Veteran’s Day Program on Monday, November 10th. It’s a meaningful opportunity for our students to show appreciation and respect for those who have served.

Please be sure to read the special notices included in this newsletter regarding important dates for upcoming State and District testing, as well as lane closures and traffic rerouting that will affect all families on Wednesday and Thursday this week due to nearby construction.

Finally, with cooler weather in the forecast, we kindly remind you to label your child’s jackets and sweatshirts with their name to help us return any lost items quickly.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

Yo-ho-ho and onward we go!

Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Moncrief

UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION

Dear Pride Families,

We want to inform you about a temporary traffic change happening this week due to construction near our campus.

On Wednesday and Thursday, November 12th and 13th, the construction company working on the adjacent recreation center will be digging a 13-foot hole near Basset Creek Drive. To ensure safety and maintain a secure walkway for students walking and biking to school, Basset Creek Drive will be reduced to one lane during this time.

As a result, all vehicles exiting Pride Elementary will be required to turn right out of the parking lot. To navigate around the closure and get back to Kinnan Street, please follow the route shown below.

PLEASE NOTE:

-Vehicles entering Pride Elementary will still enter the same way

-Only school buses, patrols, and ambassadors arriving before 6:55 AM will           be permitted to turn left into the parking lot.

-Staging in the ballfield area will still be available before 7:05 AM, as usual.

-We kindly ask that you do not park in the roadway for staging, as traffic               will be limited to one lane.

-Tardies will be excused during these two days due to anticipated                  delays.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic during this brief construction period.

Warm regards,

Kirsten Meyer

Principal, Pride Elementary
