Dear Pride Families,
What a wonderful week of celebrating literacy at Pride!
Our Lions enjoyed a full lineup of fun and engaging activities. We kicked things off on Monday with Mystery Guests visiting classrooms to read aloud to students. Throughout the week, our kids showed off their creativity by dressing up as vocabulary words, favorite SLAM book characters, and in their best red, white, and blue. We wrapped up the celebration on Friday with one of the coziest traditions- pajama day! Students snuggled up with flashlights, turned off the lights, and enjoyed some peaceful reading time together.
Thursday evening’s SLAM Showcase was a huge success, with a packed house cheering on our student creators. We proudly announced the winners of this year’s competition, including the students who will represent Pride at the District Showcase. Be sure to check out the list below to celebrate our grade-level ribbon winners!
As we head into a week of record-level chilly temperatures, please make sure your child is dressed warmly each day. Labeling jackets and sweatshirts with your child’s name helps us return misplaced items quickly.
And don’t forget- our Daddy Daughter Dance is this Friday! Tickets are selling fast, so if you haven’t secured yours yet, grab them soon before they sell out!
Let’s have another great week, Lions! 🦁
Yo-ho-ho and onward we go!
