Dear Pride Families, A huge shout‑out to Mrs. Cannella, Mrs. Lauck, Mrs. Sherry, and Mrs. James, who were nominated by one of their students for the Excellence in Action award sponsored by Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS) Parent & Family Services and the Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) ESE Department. We are so proud of these outstanding educators and the positive impact they make on students every day! We also have a fun and exciting week ahead at Pride, with a special focus on KINDNESS. Be sure to check out each day’s activities listed below as we celebrate Kindness Week together.
We can’t wait to hear our 4th and 5th grade class finalists share their 4‑H speeches this week. I am always impressed by their poise, confidence, and thoughtful topics. Don’t forget to join us Friday evening at Publix for a Funtastic Family Math Night filled with learning and fun! 🌟 Want to Make a Difference at Pride? Join Our PTA Executive Board! 🌟
Are you looking for a meaningful way to get involved at Pride Elementary and help shape our school community? The Pride Elementary PTA is now accepting nominations for the 2026–2027 Executive Board, and we’d love to see you (or someone you know!) step into a leadership role!
PTA board members play an important role in supporting our students, staff, and school events-and no prior experience is required, just a willingness to help and collaborate. Positions include President, Vice President (1 & 2), Treasurer, and Recording Secretary. If serving on the board isn’t the right fit, there are also many committee opportunities to get involved behind the scenes.
If you’re interested (or would like to nominate someone with their permission), please complete the PTA Nominating Form and return it by Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Forms may be emailed or dropped off at the front office. Let’s work together to continue making Pride an amazing place for our students and families! 💙🦁

We need volunteers to help in the cafeteria during lunch on a daily basis between 10:00 and 1:30. Ideally, we would like to have recurring volunteers, but any time you can help would be greatly appreciated! The role involves monitoring student behavior, assisting students with opening food items, escorting students to the bathroom or health clinic, helping with spills, etc...
