Dear Morgan High School Families,
Tomorrow is the day! We are excited to welcome our Mustangs back for the first day of school and officially begin Year 2 at Aquilla J. Morgan High School.
As we prepare for a successful opening day, please review the important information below with your student.
Morning Arrival
- School gates will open at 8:00 a.m.
- Upon arrival, students should proceed directly to the cafeteria, where breakfast will be provided free of charge.
- Because our campus is significantly larger this year and we are utilizing all three floors of the building, students should allow themselves time to travel to class and report directly to their scheduled classroom once released from breakfast.
Student Parking
- Students who drive to school must park in the student parking lot only. As outlined in our school parking procedures, student vehicles are not permitted in visitor or staff parking areas.
- Students may not park in the visitor lot or teacher parking lot at any time, including after school.
Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up
- Parents dropping off or picking up students should use the front car rider loop.
- There are two lanes available to enter the line.
- The lanes will merge into one lane as vehicles approach the front of the school.
- For the safety of everyone on campus, students should never cross moving traffic to enter a vehicle.
- Safety remains our highest priority, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation during the first few days as everyone learns the flow of traffic.
Student Schedules
Over the past several days, we have welcomed a large number of newly enrolled students. Our counseling and administrative teams have been working diligently to ensure every student receives a schedule and is placed in the appropriate classes.
For students who have submitted schedule change requests, please know that all requests will be reviewed. We ask for your patience as we work through these requests while also ensuring that every student begins the school year with a complete schedule.
Student ID Badges
- Student IDs are required for all students and must be worn daily in a visible location.
- New students who did not have a photo taken this summer will receive a temporary sticker badge while new IDs are processed.
- The production of new badges may take several days depending on the volume of requests.
- Returning students may continue using the badge issued last year until their new badge is distributed.
- All returning students who received a badge last year will be issued a new one during the first few days of school.

We are incredibly proud of the strong foundation established during our first year. As we begin Year 2, we are excited to build on that success, strengthen our traditions, and continue creating the Mustang Legacy together.
